Joshua Tree, CA (November 14, 2006) -- Jampro Antennas of Sacramento today announced that KXCM-FM, based in Joshua Tree, California, has ordered a Jampro model JYFM 1-bay Yagi antenna. SCMS, specialists in both audio and complete RF systems of Pineville, North Carolina, was responsible for the sale.

A Yagi antenna is a design consisting of an array of a dipole and additional parasitic elements. The dipole in the array is driven, and another element, slightly longer, operates as a reflector. This arrangement gives the antenna a directionality that a single dipole lacks. The Jampro FM Yagi is suitable for transmitting or receiving. Because it is a broadband antenna, tuning is not required. Minimum VSWR is 1.25:1.

Rated for up to 1.5 kW input power and designed for long life and continuous service, Jampro's JYFM is made of stainless steel. Mounting hardware for KXCM included for an up to 3 inch OD pole or tower leg permitting the Yagi to be used for either vertical or horizontal polarization. The JYFM uses a 7/8 inch connector and a real EIA flange for a weather tight connection.

KXCM-FM is a commercial station owned by Copper Mountain Broadcasting. The station's format is country and it broadcasts to the Los Angeles area at 96.3 FM.
