Dual Aperture VHF Antennas Completed for Oregon Public Broadcasting

(Sacramento, Calif.) JAMPRO ANTENNAS, INC. completed dual aperture VHF antennas for Oregon Public Broadcasting for its NTSC/DTV television service in La Grande.

Oregon Public Broadcasting approached JAMPRO about the La Grande project in order to conserve tower space and minimize windloading. A Channel 5 panel antenna servicing a DTV signal and Channel 13 Radomed Slot antenna was placed in the same aperture. The dual VHF antennas were designed and tested in full-scale to minimize interference. The Band III Slot antenna replaced an existing turnstile antenna.

JAMPRO has more than 25 years experience manufacturing slot antennas due to their variety of azimuth patterns, elevation beam control and lighter windloads. The VHF panel antenna has been proven to have excellent bandwidth, while remaining flexible to achieve various azimuth patterns.

As the oldest TV and FM broadcast antenna manufacturer in the United States, JAMPRO delivered their first antenna system in 1954, and has been designing and manufacturing broadcast systems for almost 50 years. The JAMPRO continues to be dedicated to supplying the highest quality broadcast systems being used by governments, universities, and private broadcasters around the globe.
