Jampro Antennas, Inc., of Sacramento announced today that the company has been awarded a contract to provide Broadcast Consultants India Ltd., (BECIL) with broadband multi-frequency FM antennas, balanced frequency combiners and RF components. KMSO-FM, an adult music station serving the Missoula, MT market at 102.5 FM, has selected a cost-efficient JDIY antenna from Jampro Antennas, Inc. of Sacramento, California. Jampro Antennas of Sacramento, California announced here today that KVNE-FM, the 50,000 watt station based in Tyler, Texas, has placed an order for a new Jampro 8-bay model JHPC to replace the Jampro antenna lost when the station's tower failed recently. In an announcement made here today, Eddie Harrell, Corporate Chief Engineer for Archway Broadcasting Group said he was delighted with the performance of the new Jampro low-power Penetrator antenna he installed last week as auxiliary backup for KHTE-FM's main transmitter site. The Jampro JDIY-1 model was installed at 350 feet atop the tallest building in downtown Little Rock. "We fired it up and were just as happy as we could be. There was no VSWR and it performed flawlessly. Anyone could install this antenna. It was very cost efficient," said Harrell.

When your radio station has the highest rate card in the nation and you decide to add an HD signal, the last thing you want to do is interrupt your analog signal. That was the situation facing KIIS-FM when they called on Jampro Antennas / RF Systems of Sacramento, California to space-combine their existing Jampro JSPC-1 Penetrator antenna. Grupo Radio Centro SA de CV, which owns 14 AM and FM radio stations in Mexico, today announced success in achieving difficult directional patterns for three of its FM stations: XHYZ, XHUZ and XHNO. In the competitive and busy central Mexican market, the precise directional pattern was accomplished with the installation of a new Jampro JAPD cavity-backed panel antenna.

Building a station from scratch, including a new 200 foot tower for two FM channels, requires a delicate balance between keeping costs down and quality up. Brett Brewer and Sherri House, owners of Classic Communications' KWFX-FM and KWDQFM, got exactly what they wanted from their newly erected tower by hanging a single Jampro JHPC-10 R 10 Bay sidemount antenna with radomes and adding a Jampro master station RCCS-322-2.OH combiner. This configuration allowed the station to happily merge both KWFX and KWDQ's signals on the same antenna.

The Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV), headquartered in Hanoi, is  scheduled to take delivery of two Jampro JFVD high power FM antenna systems from Jampro  Antennas / RF Systems of Sacramento, CA. The JFVDs are vertically polarized, high-gain,  broadband FM flat panel antenna systems including transmission lines.

Jampro Antennas / RF Systems, Inc., of Sacramento CA, announced that the company supplied KHHT-FM with a Jampro JSCP FM antenna to facilitate the establishment of a new high-definition FM channel. Serving the entire Los Angles metro area at 92.3 FM, KHHT is a 50 kW station broadcasting a contemporary urban adult format. Jampro devised a cost-effective HD solution for KHHT by space-combining two sidemount antennas, that is, installing two antennas at different heights on the tower and combining the signals in space. KHHT already used a single-input Jampro JSCP-1 for analog transmission. Jampro revisited the JSCP-1 design plans and custom built a new, compatible single-input JSCP-2 antenna to permit space combining with the station’s existing Jampro. To ensure the reliability of both analog and HD signals the station installed a new HD transmitter. Space combining separate antennas also offers additional benefits including backup for the analog channel via the digital bays and no need for an external injector.

Jampro Antenna/RF Systems Inc., announced today that it has been awarded a contract from Afghanistan's Wizara-e-Mukhaberat (Ministry of Communications) for 24 of its top-mount VHF Prostar series slot antennas. Radio Ethiopia, the national radio network of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, today announced the award of contracts for seven turn-key FM tower and antenna installations to Jampro Antennas / RF Systems of Sacramento, California. Connoisseur Media has selected a Jampro RCBC-333-FM Bandpass Filter for KMWY-FM, its Class C 100 KW station serving the Billings area that it recently took over though a local marketing agreement. Connoisseur also purchased a Jampro RCBC-333 for one of the two new Class C FM stations it is currently building to reach the Billings market. Call signs for the new stations have not been assigned. Connoisseur broadcasts from Sacrifice Cliffs, high above Billings.

The idea for KJNP (King Jesus at North Pole) came into being one Christmas long ago when a storm prevented Don and Gen Nelson from flying out to Alaskan villages to conduct their bible classes. Instead, they went on a Fairbanks radio station to spread the Yuletide joy. Based on listener feedback, they founded KJNP, which today serves Fairbanks North Star County.

The Countdown to Digital

WERN-FM, a non-commercial station owned and operated by Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), recently upgraded an existing Jampro JADP FCC Directional antenna to convert to a dual-feed transmission system for digital as well as analogue. WERN is the first of four WPR stations transitioning to HD.

A new eight-bay sidemount internal-fed Optimizer antenna project was recently installed and commissioned in Sao Paulo, Brazil for Mix 106 FM.

Star FM 106.9, which currently broadcasts a classic music format, has recently upgraded its station with a Jampro JCPD antenna to increase power and change its frequency. This installation allows Star to broaden its coverage of the Brisbane area as well as reach additional listeners along the Gold Coast of Queensland.

Although relief measures for the massive earthquake that hit Pakistan in October are well underway, the mountainous terrain and catastrophic devastation have sorely impeded progress. The desperate need for communication with the affected areas is underscored by the Pakistani government’s appeal for volunteers to fabricate an FM Radio station that can reach survivors with valuable information. When EMF Broadcasting recently established its new station, KLRV in Billings the staff had only a few months before its FCC construction permit expired.
