Crossbow FM Panel Antenna

Crossbow FM Panel Antenna
Crossbow FM Panel Antenna

The Crossbow FM Panel Antenna delivers a circularly polarized omnidirectional horizontal radiation pattern. This requires four panels mounted around a square tower structure with a face width of 2m.

Please refer to the azimuth pattern in the PDF download below. The antenna design delivers broadband and will support the transmission of several high power FM radio channels.

The JFCB has a proven track record of performance. It covers more than ten years as a leading high power, multi-channel FM circular polarization panel antenna.

Both the screen and the dipole assembly include a heavy-duty galvanized steel construction. This ensures a long, trouble-free service under the toughest of environmental conditions.

Moreover, the crossbow FM panel antenna with its massive crossed dipole radiating elements supports the high power-multichannel FM markets. The panel is also ideal for multi-channel operation over the complete FM band of 88 to 108 MHz. A VSWR of 1.1:1 is provided on each operating channel.

The aim is to provide excellent omnidirectional radiation patterns when using four panels per tier. This is around a square or triangular tower. The combination of unequal power division and appropriate phasing between faces also provides a wide range of customized directional patterns.

The JFCB screen design is also an additional feature and strength. It also allows installation and maintenance crews to climb on them. Minimizing aerodynamic areas of the panel with round cross-section members achieves the strength required.

Furthermore, a Balun-covered radome provides weather protection to the dipole feed points and avoids any de-icing. This greatly increases reliability while simultaneously reducing operating costs.
